Four straight wins mean the unbeaten Power is only trailing flag favourites Osborne on percentage at this early stage.
They believe extending that record to 7-0 is a distinct possibility, starting with the visit of Culcairn on Saturday.
Central to the resurgence is John Pratt, the former Wangaratta Rovers and Wodonga midfielder, who's co-coaching alongside Mick Collins.
"John coming on board has really lifted the professionalism around the club," said Power football manager Paul Rippingale. "He's brought a lot of the on-ball brigade together and he's put a lot of confidence into the players, to back their own ability.
"He's been voted in nearly every game so he leads by example.
"Mick Collins has kept this group together over the last three years so between the two of them, it's a really good mix."
CDHBU eased to a 38-point victory at Jindera last weekend, following up its wins over Lockhart, Henty and Murray Magpies.
"Our draw has been favourable, we understand that, but you can only play what's in front of you," said Rippingale. "We haven't beaten Henty for quite some time and to back it up and go to Jindera and win, that's a real stepping stone for us.
"We've got Culcairn this week which, on our home track, is a game we should be able to present very well. Then we've got Rand-Walbundrie-Walla and Howlong, so there's an opportunity to really set our season up in the next three weeks.
"What John and Mick are trying to instil in these guys is that it doesn't matter who we play, we can go into any game confident.
"A lot of guys at the club have been here for a long time and not had too much success but if we can get over the next three weeks and have seven-zip, that's got to set us up somewhere, doesn't it?
"The young blokes are just loving the feeling around the club and where it's all heading."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Full-forward Ryan Cannon (knee) and youngster Kane Mills (shoulder) are facing up to six and four weeks on the sidelines, respectively, but the likes of Sean Hanrahan and Jamie Walton proved more than able deputies in the win against Jindera last weekend.
