The Saints are smarting after losing to Wodonga Raiders last week while celebrating the club's 1970 premiership.
"Losses tend to sting anyway, but with the day, it didn't make it any better," Dussin revealed.
"We were good enough for parts of the game, but not good enough for long enough."

- Matt Dussin on that loss to Raiders
Interestingly, it was just the second close game the Saints have lost in the past two seasons.
After re-emerging as a force in 2019, Myrtleford won six of the seven games decided by three goals or less, while they'd claimed two thrillers earlier this year.
"This is probably the strongest the league's been since I've been in the competition (10 years)," Dussin suggested.
"Tight games are going to more regular now and winning those tight games is going to be extra important."

Despite the loss to Raiders, the Saints are expected to have too much firepower for the Bulldogs, who posted one of their biggest wins with a 168-point demolition of North Albury.
