It has contacted council with the intention to build a new weather station adjacent to the present site and decommission the existing infrastructure.
IN OTHER NEWS
As part of the ongoing commitment for the Yarrawonga facility the BOM wants to enter into a new 20-year lease with an initial 10-year deal followed by two five-year extensions.
Rental will remain the same and is presently set at $1 per annum.
The council has to advertise its intention to enter into a new lease and hopes to strike a new deal by next month unless any objections to the move are received.
