The Mountain Men were always in front during the 16.6 (102) to 9.8 (62) victory, with Thomas Mullane-Grant kicking seven goals and the impressive Henry Teunon booting five.
"We were tested but we stood up to it," said coach Jackson Heagney-Steart.
"Dederang were formidable opponents and tried their guts out all day. For us to be asked those questions and respond the way we did is fantastic.
"We've been a bit up and down but that that was four quarters of consistently good footy."
