The crowd stayed on to watch Raiders' women topple Wangaratta Rovers by 35 points after the senior Ovens and Murray fixture between the clubs at Birallee Park.
"We had a league meeting on Monday and it was pretty unanimous across the board that it's something we can start to make happen in the future, at least for the O and M-affiliated teams," Raiders' female football president Skye Burgess said.
"It was like baby steps and making this one event happen to make it easier to happen again down the track.
"I'm not going to lie, I was a bit nervous about it. It was the first time we'd done and I didn't really know how much people would get around it and support it.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"I was so impressed. Our whole clubroom and balcony was full for our game and everyone was screaming and getting into it.
"It was so special for the girls, we never get a crowd on a Sunday, so it was a really big deal for us. It's all about the atmosphere.
"We got really good feedback from the supporters and Wangaratta Rovers want to do it when we play them there."
The Raiders women are undefeated after five rounds and head to Whorouly to face United on Sunday.
