A utility has been destroyed by a suspicious fire in Lavington, with police now investigating the circumstances behind the incident.

Firefighters were called to Tristan Court, near Douglas Road and Webb Street, about 3am on Thursday.
The vehicle was well alight when they arrived on the scene.
The vehicle sustained severe damage.
There were initial reports the vehicle was exploding, which was actually the tyres bursting.
Thick smoke could be seen coming from the Isuzu D-Max.
Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector Frank Finlay said firefighters quickly brought the vehicle fire under control.
They remained at the scene for about half-an-hour.
"The owner was not with the vehicle," he said.

"At this point the cause of the fire is undermined."
It was unclear if the vehicle was stolen.
