The Murray Railway Modellers' annual exhibition returns, even though a little smaller owing to COVID restrictions. But there are still many stalls, displays and lay-outs to see, demonstrating a wide variety of techniques. The group began from a train show in May 2008 and aims to share and promote an enjoyable hobby. Tickets available at the door, adults $10, concession/children $5, family (two adults, two children) $15, QR scan-in required.
SUNDAY SOUNDS
Music in the Gardens, Albury Botanic Gardens, Sunday, May 16, 1pm to 3pm
David Spry will bring story lines of contemporary Indigenous music to this month's Music in the Gardens, a series of free outdoor concerts during autumn and spring. the singer/songwriter aims to deliver fresh new sounds of Australian roots and a poignant balance of touching personal connections and infectious rhythms that only a dance will remedy. Food and drinks available for purchase or pack a picnic. Although a free event, capacity limits and COVID Safe conditions apply.
SHARING STORIES
Mission Songs Project, HotHouse Theatre, Lincoln Causeway, Wodonga, Saturday, May 15, 2pm and 7pm
Originally programmed as part of the 2020 season, Mission Songs Project brings together Border performers, a community choir and musician Jessie Lloyd in an uplifting night of song and stories. Lloyd explores the day to day life on the missions, settlements and reserves, through music. She hopes the two new songs composed in Albury-Wodonga will continue to be sung here long after her Australian tour has moved on.

CRAFT CULTURE
Craft Exhibition and Open Day, Chiltern Goods Shed, Wills Street, Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16, 10am to 4pm, gold coin donation
About 15 demonstrators and 11 displays will feature in Chiltern Railroaders and Modellers' inaugural event this weekend. The group hopes to develop an ongoing craft hub at Chiltern Goods Shed in the future.
PRODUCE PRIDE
Albury Wodonga Farmers' Market, Gateway Village, Wodonga, Saturday, May 15, 8am to noon
A weekly tradition on the Border, the farmers' market offers fresh seasonal vegetables and slow cooked cuts of meat for warming casseroles and soups as the weather turns cooler. About 23 stallholders have nominated to attend this week.
