But that's all changing this year, with the pair both stepping in to assist North Albury's A-grade side.
Just 15-years-old, Madison has rotated into the senior team from the club's under-17s, while 17-year-old Kelsey is enjoying her debut season in A-grade.
Having originally started out at their home club Walla Walla before merging with Rand-Walbundrie to become Giants, the duo admitted their new competition is keeping them challenged.
"Coming from under-16s for Giants in the Hume league to under-17s and A-grade in Ovens and Murray, it's much more physical at times, especially in A-grade," Madison said.
"Hopefully I can keep improving."
The youngster took out a Hume League best and fairest medal in the under-12s and has been assisting the Hoppers in wing-attack and centre.
"I had my first A-grade quarter in centre last week. I wasn't expecting it, but it was really good," Madison said.
Traditionally a goal-defender, Kelsey is now learning the ropes in wing-defence this season.
"I felt quite tall in the juniors in the Hume league, but now I'm realising I'm not that tall," she said.
Kelsey admitted her transition into the Ovens and Murray just fell into place.
"I came home one afternoon and mum asked me if I wanted to try out for North," she said.
"I said I'd think about it and mum said 'there's no time, if you want to go we have to go now.'
"That's basically how I got here."
The siblings older sister Alyssa is also a keen netballer, lining-up in A-grade for the Giants this season.
"I've played with her (Alyssa) for most of my life in the juniors," Kelsey said.

"We're definitely very competitive at home, so we use that on game day."
Madison admitted the Hopper sisters aren't afraid to give each other some advice on the court.
"It's been good, I can just yell at her whenever I want," she said.
The pair both thanked senior coach Fiona Boyer for giving them the opportunity to make the leap this season.
North Albury will take on Lavington this weekend at Bunton Park, with the club hosting their Pink Ladies Day Cancer Fundraiser.
Both the Hoppers and Panthers are coming off the back of round six losses.
"I think it will be pretty close, but hopefully we can come out on top," Kelsey said.
Other Ovens and Murray games this weekend will see Corowa-Rutherglen host Wodonga Raiders, Wang Rovers meet Myrtleford and Wodonga Bulldogs face Wangaratta Magpies.
