White ute dreaming author Scot Gardner visited last week.
Gardner took students through group writing workshops and teacher Ron Webb said it was a great surprise for his group following their study.
"Scot has a way of connecting with teenagers through his story-telling that quickly makes them feel comfortable enough to share their own stories with him," he said.
Rutherglen High's staff association yesterday raised more than $350 for the cBAG project of the Albury Wodonga Cancer Foundation through an event and morning tea.
The cBAG is a resource for cancer patients.
