Matt Tom, a former team-mate of captain Brett Davies, will boost the Crows' top order and bring some much-needed experience.
"He's a top-order bat and a leg-spin bowler, which is going to be fantastic for us," Davies said.
"He's a quality cricketer, a quality person and I think he's going to be great at the top of our order with guys like Miles Hemann-Petersen and Kris Milosta coming back as well. I reached out to Matty at the end of the season.
"I've played with him for a long time - I actually was his junior coach at one point, a long time ago.
"Having more of an opportunity to bowl on a Saturday is going to be a bit of a carrot for him as well.
"It's going to be great to reunite with him. He's excited about the opportunity at an emerging group."

Meanwhile, the arrival of Jesse Hampton adds significant power to the East Albury line-up.
"Matty, Jesse and myself played in a first grade premiership at Lake Albert in Wagga," Davies said.
"We're getting the old crew back together, which will be lovely.
"Jesse's a hard-hitting all-rounder so I'm looking forward to getting them back together.
"Fingers crossed, there's success just around the corner for us.
"Our young group could do with a little bit of experience so when we come to finals time, we've got the bit between our teeth and can change a few results at the pointy end of the season."
