Dan Kelly put the Devils ahead from the penalty spot in the first half, but just as all seemed lost for Boomers, young gun Jack Drummond equalised in the 83rd minute.
Experienced striker Pieter Noordewier goaled two minutes later to hand his side a thrilling victory.
It was a similar story in the women's clash between St Pats and Wangaratta, as Patties produced a come-from-behind 4-3 result.
The Devils raced to a 3-0 lead at the break thanks to a brace from Bianca Mulqueen and another goal to Kaitlyn Broady.
