The award-winning Australian comedian, writer and actress rose to fame with her stand-up shows that became a sellout fixture in festivals across Australia and Britain.
In 2018, the release by Netflix of a film version of Gadsby's stand-up show, Nanette, expanded her international audience and gained multiple accolades including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special and a Peabody Award.
Gadsby created the stand-up show she named Nanette partly as a response to the public debate in Australia before the law was changed to allow same-sex marriage, and also after her diagnosis of ADHD and autism, in a performance described as ground-breaking.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film version of Nanette received an approval rating of 100 per cent based on reviews from 46 critics.
Now Gadsby has a widely-anticipated new live show - Body of Work - hitting stages across Australia and New Zealand from July.
It's coming to Albury Entertainment Centre on Monday, July 26.
The Tasmanian-born-and-bred Gadsby last previewed a new show, Douglas, in early 2019.
She toured the US and Australia, where many shows were sold out in advance.
In the show, she explores new personal revelations "with empathy, wit and some extremely relatable metaphor", and creates something "bigger than comedy" according to one reviewer of the preview show.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Douglas was recorded for Netflix in Los Angeles in February 2020, just in time for the global pandemic to hit home.
Gadsby bunkered down in Tasmania, sheltering from the pandemic and pondering what was next.
She turned those musings into her new show.
Gadsby will premiere Body of Work in Canberra during July, before taking in a national tour.
She plans to embark on a British, European and US leg of the tour early next year.
Gadsby co-wrote and co-starred in the Australian ABC TV show Adam Hills Tonight through three seasons from February 2011 to July 2013.
She had regular segments called On This Day and Hannah Has A Go and also featured on the couch, contributing commentary as host Adam Hills interviewed his guests.
Gadsby's first book will be released later this year.
Tickets for Body of Work are on sale now.
