A: We obviously lost a bit of quality over the off-season but I think we have been able to more than cover the losses. I would like to think we are in at least a similar position to progress deep into September.
Q: It looks to be the most competitive season for quite some time?
A: It certainly does with the preferential draw giving the bottom sides a chance to improve. Yackandandah and Rutherglen are the perfect example and the Roos gave us a touch-up earlier in the season.
Q: Josh Star returning this season gives you another dangerous forward option?
A: Josh has been great so far. He's hard to match-up on with his athleticism and is a classy finisher and no doubt an asset.
Q: Can Cameron McNeill create league history and win a fifth Barton medal?
A: I think Cam's got more chance of winning lotto. He's lost a couple of yards of pace in the midfield and seems to love spending more time in attack trying to kick snags.
Q: Who put on the most weight during COVID-19?
A: A few of my teammates reckon I've put on a few pounds but Jackson Low let himself go the most during COVID-19.

FIXTURE
ROUND 8
SATURDAY, MAY 29
Yackandandah v Tallangatta
Rutherglen v Barnawartha
Mitta United v Chiltern
Dederang MB v Kiewa SC
Wahgunyah v Beechworth
Wod. Saints v Thurgoona
MATCH OF THE ROUND: Rutherglen v Barnawartha
Rutherglen claimed the prized scalp of Tallangatta earlier this month and also pushed flag contender Chiltern to the limit before last weekend's bye. At home, there is little doubt the Cats will fancy their chances of being ultra competitive against the Tigers. The Tigers will be desperate for another win to keep in touch with the top-three and Josh Spence, Josh Star and Peter Cook should ensure the visitors kick a winning score.
Verdict: Barnawartha by 23 points
