Hopes of an Australian victory, though, were still alive, thanks to a third round of 66 from Jason Scrivener, who's improved each day to now sit in joint fourth place at 10-under, alongside a group of five others who are just four off the pace.
Austria's Wiesberger shot a three-under 68 on Saturday to reach 14-under overall, with Sweden's Alexander Bjork in second place.
Bjork shot 66 on moving day, while England's Laurie Canter is in third place after shooting 64 to be on 11-under.
Scrivener, who was the leading Australian at the US PGA Championship last week, recorded six birdies and a bogey in his five-under round as he seeks to improve on his best second-placed finish on the European Tour at January's Abu Dhabi Championship.
Another Australian Dimitrios Papadatos is a further two shots behind his compatriot in joint-14th place after a four-under 67.
But the 35-year-old Wiesberger will take some beating as he aims to become the first player to retain a European Tour title since Jon Rahm at the Open de Espana in 2019.
The Austrian won the event in 2019 and it was cancelled last year.
