The selected interleague side will meet AFL Canberra at Wagga's Robertson Oval on June 12 for the history making clash.

Lavington's Scott Curphey and Wodonga Raiders' Terry Burgess are set to co-coach the side, with assistance from Murray Feline's Alex Brooks.

The final team of 20 players and two emergencies was scheduled to be selected after three training sessions, however Victoria's seven-day lockdown forced the cancellation of last Friday's meeting in Wangaratta.

If lockdown lifts this week, the squad will meet in Wodonga on Friday.

League operations manager Matt Elliott said the concept has been three years in the making.

"The clubs were definitely eager to explore a representative opportunity," Elliott said.

"AFL Canberra are quite an established league.

"To be able to test ourselves, especially in our first senior representative match, is going to be fantastic.

"The players are all really excited for the challenge and to be a part of it."

There's set to be free entry to the match in Wagga, which will also be live streamed.

"Having the match is going to provide great exposure for our league and experience for our players," Elliott said.

After six rounds of the senior season, Wodonga Raiders leads the competition having not suffered a loss so far.

They're followed by Lavington Panthers.
