Victorian clubs are allowed to play in NSW, which means Myrtleford's trip to Albury City and the visit of Wodonga Diamonds to Albury Hotspurs can go ahead tomorrow.
But the game between leaders Wangaratta and Twin City has been postponed.
"We're a little bit disadvantaged," Wangaratta coach Daniel Vasilevski said.
"There will be a full round of games played this weekend so players will get a game under their belts before we've even kicked a ball or set foot on the training park.
"The players are pretty flat. The whole stop-start thing has really taken a lot of energy out of us all but the players want to get back out there and they were keen to play this weekend.
"They suggested 'can we not play at a NSW field, can we make it work?' and we probably could have.
"They're a bit disappointed about this weekend. I thought we'd have resumed as a whole competition the weekend after but I guess you can't wait.
"Lockdown could be extended again and then the season slips away from us."
Myrtleford trained last night in readiness for their crucial game against Albury City, with just one point separating the pair in third and fourth respectively.
"The boys are keen and I'm pretty sure they want to get back into it," Myrtleford co-coach Rob Caponecchia said. "I don't think I would like to see it any longer without training and then getting into a game but a week, I think we'll be OK.
"It's probably rested up a few bodies and the players have been doing their own thing."
Fletcher Caponecchia, back from his studies in the US, could start for Myrtleford but the Savoys are missing co-coach Luc Doherty and goalkeeper Jayden Vescio through suspension.
