Emergency workers were called to the northern side of Urana, on Federation Way, about 12.30pm on Friday.
A truck carrying steel overturned.
The driver was taken to hospital in Wagga.
Heavy haulage vehicles will be required to upright the truck and trailer and remove it from the scene.
Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Stewart Alexander said a small amount of diesel had been spilled.
"Firefighters are working to render that safe," he said.
"It appears Federation Way will be blocked a little while, until such a time as the truck's removed."
An ambulance spokesman said the driver suffered a lower leg injury and was in a stable condition.
