Daniel Boyton yesterday pleaded guilty in the Wodonga Magistrates Court to two charges following the incident outside Kmart on October 21.
He admitted to a charge of reckless conduct endangering life by aiming and discharging a gun at a another person, and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Two other charges will also be heard when Boyton faces the County Court in Melbourne.
IN OTHER NEWS:
One other charge will remain in the Wodonga County Court, while charges including affray, using a firearm in a public place and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place were withdrawn.
Boyton had been arrested a short time after the shooting and remains locked up.
He will face the County Court on November 19.
