Just 55 days out from the gruelling 42.2km race on August 7, the former Xavier High School student posted a time of 32 minutes, 21 seconds.
Pashley had travelled to heat training in Queensland, in preparation for the expected conditions at the Games, just before Victoria's COVID lockdown.
"It was really lucky that I got away when I did, it's a crazy world at the moment and you just have to roll with it," the 32-year-old from Aireys Inlet, near Lorne, revealed.
"We're missing some pretty stiff competition but I'm happy with the win.
"I wanted to try and break 32, but my legs felt rotten in the second half of the race."
Despite the potential distractions of COVID, Pashley has had relatively uninterrupted training.
"I've been able to train pretty much as normal, the entire time," she revealed.
