Victory away to Bullioh will move the Blues three wins clear of the reigning premiers and in a commanding position to get the all-important double chance and an opportunity to host the 2021 grand final.
Cudgewa coach Brayden Carey said the delay came at a good time for his side and gave it a chance to rest some sore bodies.
"The boys are keen to restart and finish the second half of the year," Carey said.
"I think the league handled it really well.
"They were governed by what the state government had in place and with all the other (Victorian) leagues not committing to play, we sort of followed suit with them and it was the right decision in the end."
Bullioh hasn't lost since it last met Cudgewa back in round four and Carey expects there will be little between the sides.

Jay Dale is still sidelined with an ankle complaint, but star forward Kylin Morey returns from a knee injury and Jim Clevan plays his first game of the season.

After three weeks off due to Victoria's COVID-19 restrictions, league officials announced the resumption of football and netball on Wednesday night.
"It is truly acknowledged that recent snap lockdown and restrictions have hampered the positive momentum for the league and its clubs on many fronts," Upper Murray club support officer Chandan Kulkarni said.
"However, these easing of restrictions have allowed us to come on the field and have social aspects of game day close to normal."
Club delegates will meet to discuss a plan for rounds seven and eight which were missed due to restrictions.
