The Pigeons produced a rugged performance against the classy Wangaratta last week, which also revealed after the game it was hell-bent to play a more physical game.
"In recent weeks we've nearly matched it with Myrtleford, we're physical, that's what we're trying to be, physical, and we want teams saying we're hard to play against," forward Bailey Frauenfelder suggested.
"We want to have a presence, don't cross the line, we're hard at it."
The Pigeons are without gun on-baller Harry Wheeler, who was suspended for two weeks for striking against Wangaratta.
Tipped by a handful of experts as a top five side, the Pigeons sit second last with only two wins and six losses.
However, the form of ex-VFL gun Leigh Masters has been a positive.
