Sharp hyperentended his knee in the second quarter against Albury last week and didn't return.
He had a scan on Wednesday night and was still awaiting news.
"It's improved over the week, I'll be touch and go," he suggested prior to training on Thursday night.
"We don't think so (it's serious), we think there's some bone bruising and swelling in there."
It's been a frustrating season for the immensely popular leader after a pre-season ankle complaint kept him out of the first five games.
It's also been a frustrating time for the club, which sits fifth with a four-four record.
