
A 26-year-old man is in hospital after being stabbed multiple times in the neck, back and torso in Junee overnight.
NSW Police said emergency services were called to a licensed premises at Hill Street, Junee about 1.45 following reports of a stabbing.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene for stab wounds and took him to Wagga Base Hospital.
He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition, police said.
Officers from the Riverina Police District attended the incident and have established a crime scene as their investigation gets under way.
A NSW Police spokeswoman was unable to confirm at this stage if the stabbing occurred during an altercation.
A second man is currently assisting police with their inquiries, she said.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said multiple crews attended reports that a man had been stabbed.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds to his neck, flank and back.
