Buckley's visit on Monday will coincide with the delivery of the Tackle Your Feelings program to coaches from the Upper Murray Football Netball League.
Tackle Your Feelings is a mental health training program for community coaches to help them understand, recognise and manage response signs of mental health in their players.
"Football clubs have been so influential in my journey and I know that I wouldn't be where I am today without the connection and support I gained in those environments. I've also had some great coaches who provided me with life lessons I still use today," Buckley said.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"Coaches are uniquely placed to have a big impact on their players and we hope to give them the tools to have conversations about mental health, which is a topic I'm very passionate about."
The program will be delivered by Border psychologist Matt Ryan, in partnership with Sport North East.
Those who wish to attend the session are urged to contact Tim Oliver on tim.oliver@thecentre.vic.edu.au.
The free event starts at 6.30pm at Corryong Recreation Reserve.
