Mike Eden, who won the Rothmans Medal in 1983 at Eastern Suburbs, says he will be talking to NSWRL chief executive David Trodden, given the uncertainty surrounding the game, particularly in Sydney, which is battling a COVID outbreak.
"There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't put our hand up and I hope the (AlburyCity) council is doing that," the Albury-based solicitor offered.
"If you look at the draw there's a couple of games where it would suit Sydney clubs and we could get a crowd here."
