The Bulldogs became the first club in O and history to claim the three football premierships in the one season.
Wodonga toppled Albury by 27 points in the seniors, defeated North Albury in the reserves and edged out Benalla in the under 18s.
The club had organised the reunion to coincide with the home game against Albury, which is undefeated.
"There's a good feel around the club, winning makes a big difference of course," reunion committee member Bruce Calder explained.
The Bulldogs hold the league's longest current finals drought of 12 year, but the club has improved enormously since claiming the wooden spoon with just the one win in 2019.
Coach Jordan Taylor will play his first game in 12 weeks and he will be desperate for a bold showing against the red-hot Tigers.
The Bulldogs will start massive underdogs, just like they did on grand final day at Lavington Sportsground 40 years ago.
In fact, the Bulldogs were belted by the Tigers by 92 points in the second semi.
"We had finished on top, but in the last two or three games, we weren't playing that well," captain-coach David McLeish revealed.
"We had to get a little more speed into the team, so we made seven changes for the preliminary final against Wangaratta Rovers, although we had some injuries too.
"We got our mojo back a bit against Rovers."
Then 31, McLeish was in his first year out of the VFL, where he played 213 games for South Melbourne over a 12-year career.
"We watched a motivational film the week heading into the preliminary final, I just can't remember what it was, but it proved a turning point," McLeish offered.
"(Albury coach) Tom Doolan knew we were a lot quicker and it was one of those days when everything we tried worked.
"Stephen Hedley missed the preliminary final with injury, so we brought him in and he played a major role (with 19 kicks in the second half).
"David Wortmann played on a guy who kicked six goals in the second semi and kept him to only six touches, while we put Wayne Pendergast on Jay McNeil."
Eight players from the three grades have passed away, while COVID has forced some to cancel.
However, the club is hoping to attract 35 players.
Mark Wallace played in the under 18s and is now coaching the thirds, while his son Isaac plays seniors, and James "Tekky" Britton is the grandfather of senior forward Ethan Redcliffe.
