Ridden by Jamie Gibbons, Submission ($14) edged out race favourite Swanky Cat in the $22,000 0-58 Hcp, (1412m).
Submission is owned by Peter Knight and is having his first preparation with Dale after joining the stable earlier in the year.

Racing manager Frazer Dale said Submission has proved to be a consistent galloper for the stable.
"That was his second win in seven starts for the stable after only having one in his previous 25 starts," Dale said.
"He has been ultra-consistent since joining the stable and there has been genuine excuses for all of his unplaced efforts.
"It was his first win on heavy ground and it was pleasing to see him tick that box.
"We were thinking of running at Wagga on Monday but he drew 16 so we went to Echuca instead.
