A: Elijah will play his second VFL match on the weekend but has missed a few weeks because of COVID. I'm guessing he would have to perform well in the VFL for at least a month before he has any chance to make his debut.
Q: You made a shock return to playing this season, how are you enjoying it all?
A: It's been great fun and I've really enjoyed playing again. Hopefully we can get our full list together in the countdown to finals and have a real crack in September.
Q: You are no spring chicken, do you get sledged much from opponents about your age?
A: I do get reminded of my age quite often but I have got a few team-mates who don't mind sticking up for me. Jack Russell is quick to remind my opponents that I'm still capable of finding the footy.
Q: How sore do you pull up on a Sunday?
A: Certainly a lot better now the grounds are a bit softer. I find the more time I spend in the midfield has a lot to do with how long it takes me to recover.
Q: Tallangatta has got some vocal supporters who don't mind sledging the opposition?
A: The two's boys are a bit of a laugh when they get going. I think Ash Van Klaveren copped a bit from them last week because he is one of the few opponent's that has been shorter than me.

MATCH OF THE ROUND: Dederang-Mt Beauty v Tallangatta
Shapes as a virtual elimination final for the Bombers who need an upset to keep their finals hopes alive. At home against the Hoppers who aren't at full-strength the Bombers are some sort of chance. They got off to a slow start against Barnawartha last weekend and Elliott Powell, Damien Jones and Josh Kable will need to ensure the Bombers apply some scoreboard pressure early.
Verdict: Tallangatta by 11 points
