NSW's most senior prosecutor will consider allegations of sexual violence against Kiama MP Gareth Ward that relate to a man and a teenager.

The NSW Police Force confirmed it has submitted a brief of evidence to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, in relation to offences alleged to have occurred in 2013 and 2015.
"Investigations are continuing and no further information is available," police said in a statement.
Mr Ward has denied any wrongdoing.

It was revealed in May that police were investigating a NSW politician over allegations of historical sexual offending.
Mr Ward came forward as the person at the centre of the allegations, and subsequently stood down from his role as the Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services, as well as the Liberal party room.
He said he first became aware of the police investigation when a journalist contacted him.
Last month, Mr Ward said he had still not been told of the details of the allegations against him.
