Bright's clash with ladder leaders Milawa had to be called off in the second quarter after Demon Bryce Mortimer suffered a badly broken leg.
But in an incredible show of generosity, Bright donated the money from its club draw, approximately $2000, to help Mortimer with his recovery.
The injury stopped play for more than 30 minutes before the match was abandoned and the sides shared the points.
"Absolute huge shout out to the legends at Bright Football Netball Club for their generous donation today," a post of Milawa's club Facebook page said on Saturday night.
"The country footy spirit is strong up in the mountains and we are blown away by it.
"It was a tough day, but gestures like this remind us that our clubs are so much bigger than just being about playing sport - it's community, friendship and having each other's back."
