
A multi-million dollar upgrade of the riverside area near the Albury pool is a step closer, with council staff recommending a builder.
Staff urge councillors to appoint Excell Gray Brunei to undertake the project, which will have a boardwalk built along the river and a floating jetty with mooring points installed.

The car park will also be upgraded, landscaping undertaken and shade areas installed.
The business has put forward a quote of $8.74 million and says it will take 162 working days to complete, starting in October.

Preparation works will begin this month.
The pool car park will have a reduced capacity during the build and Hovell Tree Drive will be closed.

The company says most of the materials, machinery and labour will be sourced locally.
Joss Construction, Dalski and Regal Innovations also put forward tenders.
The project was first put forward in 2016, will councillors to vote on the tender on Monday night.
