The visitors trailed the Border outfit heading into the game, but scored five tries to two to post a 32-21 victory.
The Steamers' inside centre George Woods scored one of the tries, which handed the club a strong chance of toppling Griffith.
However, the visitors had too much power and pace, scoring a handful of powerful tries.
Forward Aiden Woodford-Smith snared another try for the Steamers, while Tully MacPherson-Peacock rounded out the scoring for the club.
Albury now boasts five wins, a draw and three losses to keep a hold of the last spot in the top four and faces fifth-placed Tumut next week.
The Steamers specially designed jumper for NAIDOC Week, to honour all cultures at the club, proved a winner.
