AWH's nursing director Sally Squire on Tuesday urged those that qualify for Pfizer, such as 40 to 59 year-olds, to book a slot for Wodonga and Wangaratta hubs.
"We've seen a little bit of a lull I think in the (vaccination) figures over the last couple of weeks, but I'm really hoping that this news of opening up of these positions will certainly encourage our community members to come forward and get vaccinated," she said.
Bookings are required for the shots, which are also open to particular work categories, and they can be made by phoning 1800 675 398 or logging on to an online health portal.cvms.vic.gov.au.
However, walk-ins will be accepted for those aged over-60 who are recommended to have the AstraZeneca vaccine.
