Asked if Victoria needed to tighten up red zone restrictions with NSW, Mr Weimar said it was important people did the right thing.
"We've seen really good compliance with red zone directions on the whole," he said.
"The vast, vast majority of people are doing the right things but it's always concerning when we see these leaks get out..."
He said one positive case was recorded yesterday, but this morning seven new cases were recorded.
The case recorded yesterday was a family member of the Hume family was arrived home from Sydney.
Mr Weimar said the seven new cases were linked to two strains of transmission.
Four people from the Ariele apartment building, which was visited by the NSW removalists, have tested positive.
The elderly parents of one of the residents have also tested positive.
The MCG is now an exposure site as one of the residents attended the stadium for the Carlton v Geelong game.
Mr Weimar said the seventh case related to the Hume family. He said one family member attended Coles Craigburn store.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A man who had attended the Coles at the same time has now tested positive.
Mr Weimar said the infections show the 'absolute critical importance' of red zone permits and following those restrictions.
He said 'we are right on the heels' of this outbreak and the next two days would be critical.
Mr Weimar said the Chief Health Officer would always review restrictions, but there were no announcements at this time.
"We will always review restrictions as evidence emerges," he said.
"My message? Let's make sure we are using the restrictions in place at the moment because they are there for a reason."
He said he was exceptionally frustrated with the level of information coming from the removalists as it been revealed they travelled in two trucks.
The Hume Freeway service station and Hungry Jack's at Kalkallo has been listed as a COVID-19 exposure site as the removalists stopped there on July 8 between 9.07am and 10.06am.
He understands the removalists were not wearing masks while working, which was a breach of their permits.
"I would still not be surprised if we were sitting here tomorrow with another exposure site," he said.
It comes as NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the lockdown of Greater Sydney would be extended for at least two week until July 30.
NSW recorded 97 cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday - 24 of which were in the community while infectious.
