Hoskin, a former Albury junior, is back at Billson Park after several years with Howlong in CAW District.
Growing female cricket is one of the club's priorities and coach Alex Popko is excited by the possibilities.
"Getting Ebony Hoskin back on board, we're really keen to push more females through," he said.
"It's pretty exciting times. We've got them coming through in some junior stuff and the sky's the limit.
"We're not saying Ebony can't play certain grades because if she comes in and does all the training right and performs, and she's in the rep pathways, she's open to playing senior cricket against A-grade men.
"Ebony is doing a bit of coaching through the schools and she's going to help out with some of the junior stuff as well.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"For the girls coming through, to see a girl coach, it's going to add to the whole experience and give them someone to idolise.
"To get some coaching from a female who's also got the knowledge base is just going to entice even more girls into cricket.
"In cricket, football and all sports, you notice how many more females are playing - and sticking with it.
"The really good ones hang around but the others need to see more girls. It can be a bit daunting if you're going up against all blokes.
"We want to be the springboard for anyone - male or female - to improve their cricket and hopefully go on to bigger and better things."
