Due to falling demand the Jindera pop-up clinic closed at 1pm today.
PREVIOUSLY:
No positive COVID tests have been returned after nearly 250 tests were conducted at Jindera and Albury on Thursday.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District released data on Friday morning showing that overall there had been 684 swabs taken across their area which includes exposure sites at Jindera, Hay and Gundagai following stop offs by infected Sydney removalists.
There were 107 samples taken in the Albury Local Government Area and 140 at the Jindera Sportsground.
The health service thanked residents for turning out and urged those with COVID symptoms to continue to seek tests.
"MLHD thanks people who have come forward for testing in effected communities and for their patience and understanding during this time," it messaged.
"We understand that many people in the community may be concerned they have come in contact with the COVID-19 virus.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"If you were not at an exposure site on the days (the removalists stopped)....or a close contact to someone who was, please monitor for symptoms and get tested if even the mildest symptoms develop."
The health service is working with Albury Wodonga Health and private pathology providers to improve access to testing clinics during this heightened demand.
Concern continues to centre on those that were at the Jindera Shell service station between 11.15am and 11.45am last Saturday as well as at fuel stops at Hay and Gundagai.
A drive through site at Jindera Sportsground is open for testing from 9am to 3pm on Friday and Albury Showground is also hosting testing from 8am to 4pm on Friday.
