Firefighters were called to TNT in East Albury about 10.05am on Friday.
An acid leaked from the back of a delivery truck at the Uiver Road loading site.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Firefighters in HAZMAT suits are monitoring the situation.
Superintendent Stewart Alexander said it had only been a minor spillage.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The driver was decontaminated at the site and was taken off to hospital by ambulance for precautionary checks," he said.
"He was in good spirits.
"Fire and Rescue NSW are rendering it safe."
About a dozen firefighters were called to the scene with police and paramedics.
The area needs to be decontaminated.
Superintendent Alexander said such incidents were relatively rare.
"The systems with delivery companies are usually very good, this is just an unfortunate thing," he said.
