Bandits' Emma Mahady has signed with the Sydney Uni Flames for the 2021-2022 Women's National Basketball League season.

While the talented forward has captained the border NBL1 side this year, she said she's looking forward to a new challenge under Flames coach Shane Heal.
"I'm really excited about joining the Flames," Mahady said.
"This will be my first opportunity in the WNBL, so I'm looking forward to learning from Shane and all the experienced girls in the team."

Heal has been impressed by Mahady's form.
"Emma is having a stellar NBL1 season for Albury and has shown she can compete and hold her own against the current WNBL players in the league," he said.
Mahady is averaging 21.92 points and 6.35 rebounds this season.
The Bandits are now looking at another week off the court following a seven-day extension of Victoria's lockdown.
