The Tallangatta and District league may reconsider its pre-season COVID-19 policy if the league is forced to miss a third consecutive week.
The league was forced to shutdown last week and will once again miss on the weekend.
In a best case scenario, Victoria's lockdown is lifted on Tuesday and play can resume next weekend.
However, if the league is forced to miss a third week, the COVID-19 policy states that an additional week off is required so players can complete a week's training to prepare for the resumption.
That would result in playing just the one round before the finals series commenced.
League operations manager Gavin Rendell revealed the league would most likely readdress the issue if it eventuated.
"If we miss one to three weeks play can resume the following weekend," he said.
"But if we miss more than three, clubs get an extra week to prepare for a resumption.
"There is a proviso with that policy that the TDFL executive can waiver having the extra week off.
"It is certainly something the league would give serious consideration to considering how close we are to the finals series.
"But it's obviously all still up in the air because we don't know if the lockdown will end on Tuesday.
"Another stumbling block is if the lockdown ends, will there be crowd caps and if there is, will it be viable for clubs to play."
The opening week of finals is on August 21.
