Yarrawonga based Ferguson will be unable to play or attend the game at Osborne following the extension of Victoria's lockdown.
While the club announced on Thursday that they were pulling the pin on their football matches with the Tigers due to having a stack of Victorian players and injuries, Ferguson said the Crows netballers will still go ahead.
"I'm going to try and Facetime a little bit and do what I can," the A and B-grade coach said.
"But that may be a bit hit and miss."
Ferguson is one of the only players in the Crows' A and B squad caught up in the cross-border chaos, with some others unavailable for unrelated reasons.
Captain Paige Moloney looks set to fill Ferguson's shoes in her absence.
"She's going to step up and be captain coach," Ferguson said.
"We work really closely anyway throughout the season.
"I've pretty much given her free rein to make decisions as per necessary.
"She's a great asset to us and I trust her whole heartedly to make the right decisions."
It's come at a challenging time for the back-to-back reigning premiers, with the Tigers undefeated so far this season.
Just three goals separated the sides last time they met.
"It's something we would obviously have liked to have done at full strength," Ferguson said.
"I have absolute confidence that the girls will come out and hopefully get the points regardless of me not being there.

"Things happen and you have to be flexible.
"I'm trying to keep the girls' morale up as much as I can."
Henty hasn't been as lucky, with the club deciding to forfeit their A and B grade matches against Jindera.
Coach Denise James said with four Victorian players and others battling injuries, they weren't able to fill the teams.
"In the end our decision was made, we just didn't have the numbers," she said.
"We didn't have any shooters available for the weekend."
The Swampies have still been able to field their C, C-reserve and junior grades to meet the Bulldogs.
Brock-Burrum has also forfeited their B-grade match against the Giants.
Hume Netball Association president Carla Fletcher said all other clubs are fielding teams.
"They're trying to make it work the best they can," Fletcher said.
Points will be awarded as per the usual system.
