A teenager has been flown to a Sydney hospital after he was flung from a vehicle in a Wagga car park, with police trying to piece together exactly what happened.

Emergency services raced to the scene at the Equex Centre on Copland Street about 10.15pm on Thursday after reports a young man suffered severe injuries.
Riverina Police District Superintendent Bob Noble said two 17-year-old boys were sitting on the bonnet of a moving car when it stopped, and they were thrown from the vehicle.
"One of the boys suffered extremely serious injuries and was flown to St George Hospital, and he is in a critical condition," he said.
"We are very worried about him ... the other person is OK.

NSW Ambulance inspector Eamonn Purcell said paramedics on scene treated a 17-year-old who was suffering from head, back and neck injuries.
He was taken to Wagga Base Hospital on Thursday night in a stable condition, but was taken to Sydney for further treatment this morning.
"There were a lot of younger people who were very excited about what had occurred so it was challenging from that point of view, but police were there and emergency services worked well together," Inspector Purcell said.
"We believe his friends rendered some sort of assistance before we got there.
"The injuries we saw on him were consistent with him falling off a car and onto a surface."
Superintendent Noble would not comment further on the circumstances of the incident but urged community members to have conversations with young people about being safe.
"This one is a warning for young people, particularly at this time if they are feeling a bit bored or a bit hamstrung or a bit hemmed in," he said.
"We say this year after year, and decade after decade, young people and motor vehicles are sometimes a deadly mix.
"They are often a mix that ends up with young people in trouble. So I would encourage anyone to take stock of what young people they know are doing, particularly around motor vehicles, because you may save a life."
