The Savoys found themselves 3-1 down in the second half but produced a dramatic comeback to win 4-3.
Nagus Henry, Daniel Kioses, Jack Milford and Troy Pawlik scored the Savoy goals.
"We dominated the whole game but just couldn't take our chances and whenever they went forward, they seemed to score," Myrtleford co-coach Rob Caponecchia said.
"When we were 3-1 down, we made a few changes and that balanced the team up a little bit better.

Albury City remain four points behind Myrtleford after they won 4-0 at home to Melrose, with Obiora Eze scoring twice at Jelbart Park.
Twin City beat Wodonga Diamonds 4-2 while third-placed Boomers, who had the bye, are now within two points of Wangaratta.
