Reserves captain Nick Cottrell played his 200th game for the club on the same day team-mate Travis Jones chalked up 150.
Cottrell, 33, kicked two goals and Jones was named among the Brookers' best in their 13.13 (91) to 2.1 (13) win over Rand-Walbundrie-Walla at Holbrook.
"It was nice to share the day with Travis," Cottrell said.
"We grew up on the same street and we've been mates ever since we were kids.
"We came through Auskick together, under-14s and under-17s and played a bit of senior footy together.
"Travis went away for a few years, won a premiership at Kiewa in the seconds and he returned to the club last year.
"It was good, after a lot of years, to finally get to the 200.
"I'd rather stay out of the limelight but you don't get a lot of choice - the boys have got you on their shoulders before you know what's going on!
"You don't think much of it at the time. It's a team sport and we want team success but when you finish, in years to come, you'll look back on it and enjoy it."
ALSO IN SPORT:
Holbrook's reserves are unbeaten heading into finals.
"Footy clubs have their good years and bad years so it's important to enjoy the good years," Cottrell said.
"A few stars have aligned and it's very good time to be at Holbrook."
