A board meeting was held on Tuesday night and saw the league opt against moving straight into a finals series, which is scheduled to start as originally planned on August 28.
The competition resumes from round 17 on Saturday with Myrtleford to host Albury, Wodonga Raiders to face North Albury, Wangaratta to welcome Yarrawonga, Wodonga to take on Lavington and Wangaratta Rovers to square off with Corowa-Rutherglen.
"Whilst the situation continues to be fluid, the O and M board was determined to complete the remaining home and away games," league chairman David Sinclair said.
"We are committed to a finals series with the knowledge that, under current restrictions, spectators may not be able to attend Victorian venues.
