The 1.30pm webinar, led by the Australian Fungicide Resistance Extension Network, aims to provide growers with information and practical advice about fungicide resistance in common fungal diseases of grain crops.
Research scientist Dr Tara Garrard will be one of three people presenting.
"It's important to know what's happening in your area and have an idea about what fungicide resistance is there," she said.
Dr Garrard said there had been an increase of the barley disease net form net blotch and wheat powdery mildew in some areas.
"It's definitely a growing issue," she said.
"We've got these detections that are starting to pop up and become more common and now what we're really doing is getting an understanding of how they're working in the field.
"But the number of resistances we see now is quite a threat and has the potential to cause a lot of difficulties in disease management strategies in the future."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Dr Garrard said farmers would learn about the different strategies to manage and prevent fungicide resistance.
"We've got multiple ways of looking at trying to reduce the levels of disease and that really helps to preserve the fungicide going forwards as well," she said.
"Rotating fungicide modes of action, reducing reliance on varieties that are susceptible to these diseases and integrating other control measures for the disease.
"These are really great tools that we've got and we want to preserve and hold onto them for as long as we can.
"Having an integrated disease management strategy is the best way to prolong that."
