Garlett rocketed to equal seventh in the Doug Strang Medal with 27 majors after toppling the COVID-ravaged Saints 22.14 (146) to 8.8 (56).
"Internally we've always known what Jeff can produce and he's done that for us through games, but hasn't kicked that many goals, but we know how valuable he is and he gave off two or three being selfless," co-coach Luke Daly praised.

Garlett is one of the league's few six-point players, the maximum allowed under the player points system.
He played 183 games at Carlton and Melbourne over 11 seasons and was the club's leading goalkicker at the Blues in 2013 and Demons four years later.
Garlett's magical skills only heightens expectations of what he could produce in finals football, but COVID will dictate that.
Veteran Dean Polo joined in the goalkicking with four, while Ben Kelly was excellent in the ruck against ex-AFL big man Dawson Simpson and forward Riley Bice continued his fine form.
Unfortunately for Myrtleford, without its Melbourne players due to COVID, tackling a near full-strength Albury is like going to a gun fight with a plastic knife.
