The Magpies downed Holbrook 54-30 in Lavington, with defender Hannah Azzi and goal shooter Hayley McPhillips helping to lead the charge.
But the second half of the game had a different feel, as players learnt at half-time that NSW was heading into a seven-day lockdown in just a matter of hours.
The Magpies currently sit just outside the competition's top six.
Having missed round 13, and with one game scheduled before finals, coach Keira Nicholson can't help but think what could have been.
"Being only one game out, we might have had a chance of scraping in," she said.
"I don't think we've had a game this year with all of our A-grade players, either through injuries or other commitments.

"It's been good considering the circumstances we've had this year."
With the league now in limbo as to what the rest of the season may look like, the Magpies will wait to see if they get another game in.
"I said to the girls, depending on what they decide, we might be back playing," Nicholson said.
In other matches, Jindera has ended Osborne's undefeated season after stunning the Tigers by nine goals.
Osborne still holds top spot on the ladder.
The Giants, Brock-Burrum, Billabong Crows and Lockhart were also winners.
