The Border side went down by 38-points to Bendigo at Wodonga's Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday, with Ardern ruled out for the remainder of the match after the collision.
Ardern is now off to the US to live out her college basketball dream.
"That was unfortunate for her for her last game of the year," coach Matt Paps said.
"She's excited to go and we're excited for her."

Sisters Aleira and Kijana McCowan sat on the bench for the special Allen McCowan Memorial Game, while older sister Jade took to the court in memory of their dad.
Brodie-Paige Theodore was the top scorer for the Bandits with 27-points, while captain Emma Mahady finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
"It was always going to be a tough game after losing Lyn and Dyn (Leaupepe) during the week," Paps said.
