TWO women were given check-ups by paramedics after a house fire in North Albury on Sunday night.

One was in the blackened brick veneer home on the eastern side of Mate Street just south of Hume Animal Hospital.
The other was in a granny flat at the rear.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Firefighters were called to the property about 6.25pm with the blaze taking 15 minutes to knock down before being extinguished in 30 minutes.
There was significant damage and the cause was unclear on Sunday night.
Police as well as paramedics and 15 firefighters assigned to three engines attended the inferno.
