Operational Director for Albury Wodonga Health's Public Health Unit Jody Bellette said residents should be proud.
"Keep up the good work," she said.
"For a regional area we are really working hard to make sure our community is keeping safe and it shows in our numbers and where we're sitting across the state."
Meanwhile in NSW, the Murray region has passed the halfway mark for first dose vaccinations, with 51.4 per cent of those 16 and above vaccinated.
Last week, 52.7 per cent of Hume residents had received their first dose, while 48.3% in Murray had also received their first dose.
In Hume, 28.1 per cent are fully vaccinated up from 23.7 per cent last week, and in Murray 24 per cent are now full vaccinated compared to 20.3 per cent last week.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Ms Bellette said the community on both sides of the border were doing a wonderful job.
"It's a real testament to the people within these border regions," she said.
"We're fully aware of the importance of getting vaccinated, because we feel the impact of every policy change and every permit change.
"So I think that has helped the regions really understand and be willing to take up the vaccine offer that we're seeing across the network."
Though Hume has maintained it's fourth ranking for first doses behind Warrnambool and South West (57.9 per cent) Bendigo (57.4 per cent), and Geelong (56.56 per cent), Murray has progressively dropped down the NSW most vaccinated list.
At the first report, Murray was sitting equal 9th with the Central Coast for the percentage of first doses administered, then it dropped to 11th place beneath mostly Sydney regions, but now Murray is sitting in 14th position.
SEE THE GOVERNMENT DATA:
Ms Bellette said the Albury Wodonga Health vaccine clinics had delivered 45,717 doses at the end of last week.
"So we are well on the way to get to that 50,000 mark," she said.
"And I think that's a really great achievement.
"We are absolutely full booked most days, so people are keen.
"We averaged over 600 doses each day last week; on Friday we saw our record of 683 appointments in one day."
Ms Bellette said AWH was also doing outreach programs to culturally and linguistically diverse community members.
"Our outreach program is going out to CALD communities and into industry settings to ensure that we are providing equitable access to vaccines to those that are eligible," she said.
"This week we'll be heading out to the food distribution centres and we're going to run an outreach program there to really protect our food surety and make sure all those workers are vaccinated."
